Eternal Pain...I don't think so

This first quarter has been quite an exciting experience for me however shook up a lot of the solid foundation I built this summer. I did not post at all this quarter for several reasons and really just because the whole experience was somewhat overwhelming. I know I'm still not completely settled in and on my feet, but this next quarter and starting today, I would really like to get back on my feet.

I came to the realization that without objective measurement and accountability your mind can distort your body into anything. This is the reason I need to blog. This is the reason I need to measure consistently every week.

I thought I could do it without blogging. I thought I was strong enough but the reality is I really do need it to stay on track.

I have become involved in many many organizations and movements on campus and keeping with those along with my fitness aspirations is sure to be a great challenge and a test of balance.

I can do this! This is an area of my life I care a great about and is very important to me, and if I don't take care of it, I feel I will live in pain forever.

Quoting Lance Armstrong:

"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."
